How to Send a Password Reset Link to a Member

If you have a member/user in the system who does not know their password, you can send them a link to set or reset it.

Instructions

Method 1: Via Member Profile Page

  1. Log in to your myClubhouse site with an Administrator-level account.

  2. Use the Search tool

    in the toolbar to find the member in question

     

  3. Click on the member’s name to go to their profile page.

  4. Click on the large blue “Administration” button underneath the member’s name

     

  5. In the Administration section at the bottom of the page, click Send login details:

     

  6. From the pop-up box, set the number of days and hours before the password reset token (link) will expire (it is not a good idea to allow the link to work for too long, in case it the member’s email account gets hacked some time in the future).

  7. Click OK.

  8. You will receive a success message once the email has been sent.

     

  9. The member will receive two emails:

    1. One email containing their username.

    2. A second email containing a link to reset their password. This link contains the “token” which is just an unguessable code which will match the user to their account on myClubhouse.

Method 2: Via Member Directory

  1. Go to the Member Directory

    1. by default this is under the Information menu

    2. if you can’t find it use the URL in you browser’s address bar: <<your myclubhouse URL>>/MemberDirectory, for example:

       

    3. or search for “Directory” using the search tool

      in the menu bar.

       

  2. From the Member Directory, use its search filter to find the member in question.
    Note: you may need to clear the “Current Member?: Yes” filter which is displayed by default.

  3. Once you have found the member in the directory, click in the red “Admin” button against their name (this is usually in the right-hand column).

     

  4. From the Admin menu click “Email login details to member”.

  5. From the pop-up box, set the number of days and hours before the password reset token (link) will expire (it is not a good idea to allow the link to work for too long, in case it the member’s email account gets hacked some time in the future).

  6. Click OK.
