Home Page Routing

Home Page Routing is a feature included with the CMS Add-On Module. This feature allows you to create different home pages for various groups within your user base. This is especially good for multi-sport clubs so that each sports section can have its own home page, tailored to its members. The uses are of course not limited to just sports sections, as the Routing is divided using Member Lists, you can have different home pages for admins, volunteers, members, non-members, and more.

Instructions

  1. Create a Member List:

    1. You need to create a Member List for each group for which you want to have a different home page. If you already have Member Lists for sections within your club, you can reuse these for Home Page Routing.

Guidance for creating Member Lists can be found here: Member Lists

  2. Create CMS pages:

    1. You need to create a CMS page for each separate Home Page (excluding the default). You can put them all in a single CMS Space to make them easier to find, or distribute them throughout other CMS Spaces if that will make them easier to find, update, and maintain. The view Entitlements on the Space will NOT affect the Home Page Routing as it will bypass this Entitlement.

    3. Complete the settings:

      1. Add Routing: Click to add a new Home Page Routing to the bottom of the list.

      2. Member List: Select the appropriate Member List from the dropdown.

      3. Routes To: Select the relevant CMS page that will be the Home Page for those in this Member List.

      4. Dustbin: Click to delete a Routing.

      5. Re-order Routings: The order for Home Page Routings is important because if someone appears in more than one of the Member Lists in the Routings, the system will show them the Home Page that is higher up in the list. If you click “Re-order Routings”, you can drag and drop them to re-order them into the correct order.

    4. Save Changes: Once happy with the details, click “Save Changes” to save the Home Page Routings and other changes in General Club Settings.
