Sometimes members need to contact each other but have not shared their contact details on the website. This could cause extra admin for administrators with members asking for help to make contact with the other members. Message Me is a great workaround for this. It allows a member to contact another member without having access to their contact information.

    1. Alternative contact email: If you have an alternative email to the one on your profile (which will be shared with the recipient), you can add it here as an optional method for the other member to contact you.

    2. Alternative contact details: This field is similar to the one above but is designed for other types of contact details, such as a phone number.

    3. Subject: The subject of the message.

    4. Message: The main body of the message.

    5. Copy this message to my email address: If checked, when you click “Send”, a copy of the message will be sent to both the recipient and yourself.

    6. Send: Once happy with the message, click “Send” to send the message.

Competitions

Contacting opponents is almost always a part of club competitions. When an opponent doesn't have their contact details shared, Message Me can make the contact possible without the administrator having to get involved to pass on contact details or facilitate contact between players. To access Message Me via Competitions:

  1. Navigate to the Competitions > View Competitions.

  2. Next to the appropriate Competition, click “View”.

  3. Click on the name of the appropriate opponent.

  4. In the pop-up, click “Message”.

Note: This method will not work for Competitions that are Teams. In this instance, when you click on a Team’s name, the players in the Team will be listed. You will then have to copy the name into the site-wide search or the Member Directory in order to use Message Me.

Profile Page

If you go to a member’s profile page, such as through the site-wide search or the Member Directory, you can find the Message Me button in the top right-hand corner.
