Linked Subscriptions are a tool to help you manage your Membership. They are linked to a Core Subscription and can be used for Fees, Add-ons, Resources, and more. They also simplify tracking of your club’s finances by separating out different sources of income.
Core vs Linked Subscriptions
Core Subscriptions are assigned to a member with a cost and a start and end date. Linked Subscriptions are the same, but must be attached to a Core Subscription. The Core Membership Category must be created first, which can be done by following this guide: How to Create a New Membership Category
Linked Subscriptions can only be linked to a Group Subscription by linking it to a slot within a Group Subscription. Learn more about Group Subscriptions in this guide: How to Create a Group Membership Category
The dates of a Linked Subscription must be within the dates of the Core Subscription. So if you have a 1 year Core Subscription, the Linked Subscription can’t last for 2 years.
Common Uses for Linked Subscriptions
Linked Subscriptions can often be used to assign Resources to members. This can include assets like lockers, boat parking spaces, or other equipment. Learn more about Resources in this guide: Resources
Another common use for Linked Subscriptions is for fees for a Governing Body (such as England Athletics). This makes book keeping and other admin tasks simpler as separate Product Categories and other information can be assigned to these purchases more easily, rather than them be combined with a member’s Subscription to the club.
