News & Announcements widgets allow you to share small snippets of news, information, or reminders with members quickly and easily. Some bits of information are too small to warrant an email or a text to all members so News & Announcements gives a great alternative! The News & Announcements widget is part of the default configuration of the home page.

Adding the Widget
In a new block or column, click “Widget”.
Select “News & Announcements” in the Widget list.
Click “OK”.
New Announcements
Navigate to “Information > Manage Announcements”.
Complete the Wizard:
Title: The title of the Announcement.
Text: The main text of the Announcement. This has the text-based formatting options to help tailor the content. You can also use HTML to edit if you wish.
Expiry: Set when the Announcement will expire. If left bank, the Announcement will never expire. There are also handy buttons for 1 week, 1 month, and 1 year, from today.
Post Announcement: Once happy with the details, click to post.
Live Announcements
This section allows you to review all current Announcements as well as those that have expired.
Edit
Click “Edit” to make changes to the Announcement.
Delete
Click the red “X” to delete the Announcement. Then click “Yes” to confirm.
Expire Now
Click “Expire Now” to expire the post immediately, instead of the expiry time previously set.
